Margaret Cooper presented with Mary Rice Award

Longtime member of the Friends of the Moultonborough Public Library, Margaret Cooper has been named this year’s recipient of the prestigious Mary Rice Award.

The Mary Rice Award is presented annually to an individual who personifies outstanding voluntary service to the Friends of the Library, the staff, and the Library itself.

Margaret Cooper has been a supporter of the Library since 2013. As “the queen of hospitality,” she constantly steps up to the plate with her pleasant and unassuming manner. She is always ready and willing to lend a hand, as well as superbly organizing others to help out. She’s a marvel at creating a hospitable and festive atmosphere with delicious treats for all of our many library patrons, young and old. Our activities would not be the same without her magic touch. If you need an extra hand for any library event, she is always quick to volunteer.
