Learn the Secrets to Winter Backyard Bird Watching

On November 4, 6 pm, naturalist and birder Steve Hale will present “Winter Backyard Birds,” a fun, interactive presentation that will focus on bird identification tips so that participants can confidently spot and name the various species they observe right outside their windows this winter.
Steve holds university degrees in marine biology, evolutionary biology, and ecology and has lived in New Hampshire for over 20 years. His company, Open World Explorers, offers naturalist guided birding and hiking tours around New England.
The presentation promises to be invaluable for both novice and experienced bird enthusiasts. In addition to identification tips, attendees will receive practical advice on attracting and feeding birds effectively throughout the winter. Steve will also introduce the widely known Audubon Christmas Bird Count, an annual citizen science event, and explain how the public can easily participate and contribute to vital conservation efforts.
