Improvements to the Program Room
The Moultonborough Public Library is pleased to announce updates have been made to our Program Room. These updates include a fresh coat of paint and a new audio-visual system featuring an assistive listening system and new technology for hybrid programming, supported by a “Libraries Transforming Communities” grant from the American Library Association and the Trustees of the Moultonborough Public Library.
This assistive hearing system offers three ways for patrons to connect. The WaveCast app allows users to route a speaker’s voice through their smartphone directly to their hearing aids. For those who prefer not to use an app, the library has a limited number of ear pieces for direct listening. The system also includes ceiling speakers to amplify the speaker’s voice throughout the room. We invite the community to visit and enjoy these facility improvements.
A new heating and cooling unit funded by an Association of Rural and Small Libraries grant, was also installed this winter, funded primarily by the Association of Rural and Small Libraries and the Manton Foundation.
These projects help us meet the goals in our Moultonborough Library Strategic Plan for 2025-2030 to provide an inclusive, welcoming, accessible environment.
