Homebound Delivery
Moultonborough Public Library’s Home Delivery Program is a free service, in partnership with Community Caregivers, that delivers library materials such as books, movies and audiobooks to Moultonborough residents who are unable to get to the library themselves.
How It Works
- Contact the library or fill out the Home Delivery Sign-Up form online.
- Fill out and return a Homebound Delivery Agreement Form either online or a paper version provided with your first delivery.
- Sign up to receive services from Interlakes Community Caregivers
Choose between:
- Delivery every two weeks or monthly
- Choose specific authors and titles you would like to borrow or if you would prefer to have Library staff select items based on your interests.
Items will be delivered to you by Interlakes Community Caregivers volunteers. You will also be asked to agree to the guidelines for their services. Deliveries are typically made every other week or monthly on Wednesdays.
Let library staff know if you’d like a delivery every other week or monthly. Staff can choose materials for you if you tell them your interests. You can also reserve or request specific books/materials. This can be done online through the catalog, by calling the library at 603-476-8895, or via email to library@moultonboroughlibrary.org.
Community Caregivers volunteers will deliver new materials and pick up previously delivered items to return to the library. You will also be asked to agree to the guidelines of the Community Caregivers for their services. Deliveries are typically made every other week or Monthly on Wednesdays.
Who is eligible?
Participants must be Moultonborough residents who are permanently or temporarily unable to get to the library on their own, and be Moultonborough Library patrons in good standing. Homebound patrons who don’t already have a card may apply for a card online or call the library at 603-476-8895 to register for a library card. Proof of Moultonborough residency is required.
What can you borrow?
All circulating library items may be borrowed by Homebound Library Patrons including books, large print books, audiobooks on CD, Playaways, magazines, DVDs, music CDs, jigsaw puzzles, and items from the Library of Things collection.
Is there a cost?
No. This service is absolutely free to Moultonborough residents with a library card. The only charges that may occur would be for lost or damaged materials.
Homebound Environment Required for Delivery
Patrons requesting homebound delivery services must provide a safe and appropriate environment that follows the guidelines set forth by Community Caregivers. If those guidelines aren’t met, volunteers can reserve the right not to deliver.
