Library Services

Moultonborough Public Library is proud to provide special services to our patrons. Below are some of services we have to offer.

Meeting Rooms

Moultonborough Public Library has 3 quiet study areas/rooms that may be used by individuals or small groups. These can be reserved for up to 3 hours.  Please use our online Meeting Room Reservation System. We also have a Program Meeting Room which can be reserved for larger groups.  You must be a resident and/or taxpayer of Moultonborough to reserve this room.

Museum Passes

You can now reserve in advance online using our Museum Reservation System. Many attractions in our local area have issued passes to Moultonborough Public Library, funded by the Friends of the Library. These attractions include, but are not limited to, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Castle in the Clouds, Wright World War 2 Museum, and more. To reserve a pass, you must have an active Moultonborough Resident/Taxpayer Library Card. If you are a non-resident, you may call the library the day before you wish to go, and see if the pass is available, and then call the library to reserve.

Library of Things (LOT)

Moultonborough Public Library is now offering a Library of Things (also known as LOT) for our patrons to check out with a valid library card. A library of things is a separate collection of items, such as lawn games, AV equipment, cooking tools and more, that reside in the library. To learn more, or reserve an item, see the corresponding tab on the left.

Notary Services

We have several library employees who are New Hampshire Notaries. There is no charge for this service. We do ask that you call the library to make sure our notaries are available before you come to the library. For more information, see the tab on the left.

Tax Preparation

Another amazing service offered at MPL is in partnership with AARP. Volunteers from AARP schedule times for library card holders and support you through your taxes process until the job is done!

We are currently echoing AARPs call for volunteers. Without volunteers, we cannot offer this valuable serivce. Volunteers are needed for all types of tasks. Please consider volunteering today. Visit the AARP website here.
