Local Hiking and Biking Trails
Moultonborough and our surrounding towns contain a wealth of nature trails for the enjoyment of walkers, hikers, birders, and all who appreciate the beauty of our outdoor environment. Below you will find links to many local conservation lands with trails that may not be listed elsewhere. Castle in the Clouds and Squam Lakes Association trails are not included below, (with the exception of Chamberlain-Reynolds, which is owned by the New England Forestry Foundation and managed by SLA). The Hiking Trails Guidebook for the Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area and the Squam Trail Guide may be borrowed from the library for trails maintained by those organizations. For those who are planning for a more strenuous mountain hike, the library also has the AMC White Mountain Guide available. We are grateful to all the conservation groups that have made their trail maps available online.
