Join the 2026 Salad-A-Day Challenge!

Salad a Day tracking log has a grid of 31 days to log your daily salads.

Summer is finally here, and things are heating up at the Moultonborough Library! This year, we aren’t just challenging you to dive into a great book—we’re challenging you to load up your plate with vibrant, nutrient-packed greens.

Whether you are a culinary expert or someone whose definition of a salad is just tossing some ranch on a leaf of iceberg, this challenge is for you. Eating a colorful, flavorful salad every day in July is an amazing way to boost your energy, improve digestion, and naturally “eat the rainbow.”

Download a Salad-A-Day Challenge here or pick up one at the library. Join us for a salad potluck dinner on July 28, 5:30 pm, to share successes, challenges, and recipes. Submit your tracking log then to be entered in a prize drawing.

🗓️ Mark Your Calendars: Key Events

We are sandwiching a month of healthy habits between two fun community gatherings.

  • The Big Kick-Off: Tuesday, June 23 at 3:30 PM Stop by the library to pick up your official tracking log, check out a stack of inspiring salad cookbooks, and chat with fellow participants about recipe ideas.
  • The Challenge Month: July 1 – July 28 Eat one salad a day as a meal or a side dish. Get creative! Think fruit salads, grain salads, pasta salads packed with veggies, or classic leafy greens.
  • Celebratory Salad Potluck & Finale: Tuesday, July 28 at 5:30 PM Let’s celebrate our hard work! Bring your favorite salad creation to share with the community. We’ll provide the drinks, tableware, and a space to swap recipes.

🥗 How the Tracking Log & Prizes Work

Participating is simple, and yes, there is healthy competition involved!

  1. Grab a Log: Pick up your 8.5″ x 11″ paper tracking log at our front desk – or download here – starting June 23.
  2. Track Your Salads: Write down or check off your daily salads throughout the month.
  3. Submit to Win: Turn in your completed tracking log to the front desk by Tuesday, July 28 (right at our potluck dinner!).

Bonus Motivation: Every completed log submitted by the July 28 deadline will be entered into our Grand Prize Drawing. You’ve got to be in it to win it!

🥬 Why Join the Challenge?

If you need a little extra convincing to swap those potato chips for carrot ribbons, keeping up with a daily salad has incredible benefits:

  • Natural Energy Boost: Ditch the afternoon sugar crash for sustained, clean fuel.
  • Radiant Summer Skin: Hydrating veggies and antioxidants work wonders for a healthy glow.
  • Gut Health Heroes: The high fiber content in fresh produce keeps your digestive system incredibly happy.
  • Community Fun: It’s always easier (and more entertaining) to build healthy habits when the whole town is doing it with you.

Head over to the Moultonborough Library front desk to ask any questions or to grab your tracking log early. We can’t wait to see the delicious combinations you come up with this summer!

"The Moultonborough Public Library serves as the heart of the community providing access to resources and opportunities for learning, enjoyment, and community connections."
