Partners in Command
by Mark Perry
Dwight Eisenhower and George Marshall formed one of the most important military partnerships of World War II. In Perry’s work of non-fiction, the author explores the nature of this historically important relationship. In reading and discussing this book, you will come to understand how these two men balanced each other’s strengths and weaknesses with nothing less at stake than the fate of democracy and the defeat of fascism.
Unlike the other relationships explored in our 2016-2017 series, the relationship between Marshall and Eisenhower is not about love or loss but leadership. Our scholars for this book, retired Brigadier General Edward Harrington and Vietnam veteran and retired horticulturist Bruce Roberts bring both their military and leadership experience to the discussion of this historically significant work.
